Important: This is an expensive form of borrowing and is not intended as a long-term financial solution. Consider all alternatives before applying.
Who We Are

An online lender built on transparency and tribal heritage.

Crane Finance is a wholly owned economic development arm of the Menominee Indian Tribe of Wisconsin — a federally recognized sovereign Native American tribe. We provide online installment loans to qualified U.S. borrowers who need short-term financial support and a straightforward path to access it.

Our Mission

Crane Finance exists to provide accessible, transparent short-term financial products to U.S. residents who may be underserved by traditional banks and credit unions. We recognize that unexpected expenses — a car repair, a medical bill, a utility shutoff — do not wait for the ideal financial moment. Our role is to offer a clear, secure, and responsible path to short-term funds when other options are not available or cannot move fast enough.

We are not a solution for every financial need. Our loans are a high-cost form of credit designed for specific, short-term situations. We are committed to helping every borrower understand the full cost of what they are considering before they accept any offer — because an informed borrower makes better decisions.

Our Tribal Heritage

Crane Finance operates as Crane Lending, LLC d/b/a Crane Finance — a wholly owned economic development arm and instrumentality of the Menominee Indian Tribe of Wisconsin. The Menominee are among the oldest continuous inhabitants of the Great Lakes region, with a federally recognized tribal government based on the Menominee Indian Reservation in Keshena, Wisconsin.

The economic activities of the Tribe — including Crane Finance — generate revenue that supports tribal government services, community programs, and the wellbeing of tribal members. Crane Finance is one of several economic development enterprises through which the Tribe exercises its sovereign right to engage in commerce and generate self-sustaining revenue.

Tribal Sovereignty & Jurisdiction

Because Crane Finance operates as an arm of the Menominee Indian Tribe of Wisconsin, loans are governed by applicable federal consumer finance law and the laws of the Tribe — not the laws of the state in which you reside. The Tribe's Chapter 22 Tribal Consumer Financial Services Regulation establishes borrower rights and dispute resolution procedures. Nothing on this page should be construed as a waiver of sovereign immunity.

How We Operate

Crane Finance offers unsecured online installment loans from $100 to $1,500 to qualified U.S. residents. The entire process — application, verification, agreement, and funding — takes place online. There are no branch visits, no fax requirements, and no printing necessary.

We comply with applicable federal consumer finance law, including:

  • Truth in Lending Act (TILA): Full disclosure of APR, finance charge, total of payments, and payment schedule before you sign
  • Electronic Fund Transfer Act (EFTA): Protections for ACH payments to and from your bank account
  • USA PATRIOT Act: Identity verification for all applicants as required by federal anti-money-laundering regulations
  • Gramm-Leach-Bliley Act (GLBA): Data privacy protections and notice requirements

Crane Finance is a member of the Online Lenders Alliance (OLA), an industry organization that requires members to adhere to responsible lending practices, transparent advertising, and a consumer code of conduct.

Credit underwriting uses alternative credit reporting agencies — Clarity Services, DataX, and FactorTrust — rather than traditional FICO-based bureau pulls. Checking your rate generates only a soft inquiry with no impact to your FICO credit score.

Our Commitment to Borrowers

Crane Finance's lending practices are guided by a set of commitments we make to every applicant — regardless of whether their application is approved.

  • Full transparency before you sign

Your APR, finance charge, total of payments, and complete payment schedule are disclosed in your loan agreement before you accept. You are never obligated to sign.

  • No upfront fees — ever

Crane Finance does not charge any fee before funding your loan. Any entity asking for upfront payment in Crane Finance's name is not Crane Finance.

  • No prepayment penalty

You may pay off your loan early at any time. Doing so reduces the total finance charge you pay over the life of the loan.

  • Accessible customer support

Our customer service team is reachable by phone at 855-321-7654 and by email at [email protected]. We encourage borrowers to contact us proactively if they anticipate any difficulty with a payment.

  • Responsible lending guidance

Our Knowledge Center articles are designed to help borrowers understand credit, manage debt, and build long-term financial health — not only to promote borrowing.
