From application to funding — entirely online.
The Crane Finance loan process is designed to be fast, transparent, and fully digital. No branch visits, no printing, no waiting days for an answer. Here is exactly what happens at each stage.
At a Glance: Timeline
For most applicants with complete and verifiable information, the full process — from starting the application to receiving funds — takes less than one business day.
For a step-by-step overview of the 4 core stages, you can also see the Application Process & Timeline section on our homepage. The sections below go deeper into each stage.

Complete the Secure Online Application
The application is completed entirely on craneloansfinance.com — no phone calls, no branch visits, no documents to fax or mail. Most applicants finish in 5–10 minutes.
~5–10 minutesWhat happens during the application:- You enter your personal, employment, income, and banking details
- A soft credit inquiry is generated using alternative bureaus (Clarity Services, DataX, FactorTrust) — this does not affect your FICO score
- Your identity and banking details are verified electronically
- Income and employment information is reviewed
- Incorrect bank routing number — double-check the 9-digit number on a check or in your banking app
- Driver's license with symbols — only numbers and letters are accepted
- Phone number with symbols — only numbers and letters are accepted
- Pay date falling on a holiday or weekend
-
3
Receive a Real-Time Loan Offer
If you meet the initial eligibility criteria, you will receive a loan offer in real time — typically within seconds of submitting your application. The offer includes every figure required by the Truth in Lending Act (TILA).
Real-time decisionYour offer will show:- Approved loan amount — may differ from the amount requested
- Annual Percentage Rate (APR) — the annualized cost of borrowing
- Finance charge — total dollar cost of the loan (most important number)
- Total of payments — what you will have paid by the final installment
- Payment schedule — each payment date and amount
If you are not approved, you will be notified. Not all applicants qualify. Crane Finance does not guarantee approval for any individual application.

4
Review Every Term — Then E-Sign
This is the most important step. Your loan agreement is a binding contract. You are under no obligation to accept the offer — review every figure carefully before signing.
Read before you signBefore e-signing, confirm:- The APR, finance charge, and total of payments match what was shown in the offer
- The payment schedule aligns with your pay dates and income
- You understand the consequences of a missed or late payment
- You have the ability to repay on the disclosed schedule
By e-signing, you also consent to receive all loan disclosures electronically, as described in the E-Sign consent included in your agreement. If you do not agree to the terms, do not sign — walk away without penalty.
-
5
Receive Your Funds
After your e-signature is processed, funds are deposited to your checking account via ACH direct deposit. Most approved applicants receive their funds the same business day or the next business day.
Same or next business dayWhat can affect deposit timing:- Applications signed after your bank's ACH cutoff time may fund the following business day
- Applications approved on a Friday afternoon, weekend, or federal holiday will fund on the next business day
- Banking institutions vary in how quickly they post incoming ACH deposits
If you have not received your funds within two business days of signing, contact Crane Finance at 855-321-7654 or [email protected].

6
Make Payments on Schedule — and Pay Off Early If You Can
Payments are collected automatically via ACH debit on each scheduled payment date. There is no prepayment penalty — you can pay off your remaining balance at any time to reduce your total finance charge.
Ongoing repaymentRepayment tips:- Ensure your checking account has sufficient funds on each payment date to avoid NSF fees
- Notify Crane Finance at least 2 business days in advance if your banking details change
- Contact us proactively if you anticipate difficulty with a payment — do not wait until after the due date

What Can Slow Down or Reject Your Application
Most application issues are caused by data entry errors — not by credit history. Double-check every field before submitting, especially your bank routing number, driver's license, phone number, and pay date.
The following situations commonly result in a delayed decision, request for additional information, or application rejection:
- Incomplete or inconsistent information: Name, address, or employer details that cannot be verified against available records
- Banking verification failure: An incorrect routing number, a closed account, or an account that blocks ACH transactions
- Income below the minimum: Monthly income must be between $1,000 and $15,000 to qualify
- Invalid pay date: The stated pay date falls on a weekend or federal holiday
- ID format error: Driver's license or phone number entered with symbols — only numbers and letters are accepted
- State availability: Applications from residents of states where Crane Finance does not currently operate are not approved
- Recent derogatory credit events: Recent defaults on previous Crane Finance loans or significant negative alternative credit bureau history
Repayment — What to Expect
Unlike a payday loan, which requires a single lump-sum repayment on your next payday, a Crane Finance installment loan is repaid in multiple scheduled payments. Each payment covers a portion of the principal plus accrued interest.
Payment alignment
Payments are typically scheduled to align with your pay frequency — weekly, bi-weekly, semi-monthly, or monthly — so each installment comes out of an incoming paycheck.
ACH automatic debit
Payments are collected automatically from your checking account on each scheduled date. Ensure your account has sufficient funds to avoid NSF (non-sufficient funds) fees.
No prepayment penalty
You may pay off your full remaining balance at any time before the final scheduled payment. This reduces total interest paid. Contact us to request your exact payoff amount.
Financial hardship
If you anticipate difficulty making a payment, contact Crane Finance at least 2 business days before your due date. Proactive communication gives you the best chance of working out an arrangement.

After Your Loan Is Paid Off
Once your final payment is processed and your loan balance reaches zero:
- Request written confirmation of payoff from Crane Finance and save it for your records
- Verify that no further ACH withdrawals are scheduled from your bank account
- Consider redirecting what were loan payments into a dedicated emergency savings fund — even $25 per pay period adds up quickly
Building an emergency fund reduces your likelihood of needing high-cost short-term borrowing again in the future. Our guide on building long-term financial health covers practical steps toward greater financial stability.
